E1189 Magnetron

CAVMAG 2010, the International Conference on the Origins and Evolution of the Cavity Magnetron, took place in the Allsebrook Lecture Theatre, on the Talbot Campus of Bournemouth University on 19/20 April 2010. The background to the event was explained by Keith Thrower, Conference Chair.  There was a pre-conference visit to the Royal Signals Museum, Blandford on 18 April. On 19 April, a Conference Dinner was held in the Elstead Hotel.

Some 50 people attended the conference - more from overseas had booked, but were thwarted by the disruption to air travel caused by the Icelandic volcano eruption.

CAVMAG 2010 Speaker

21 papers were presented during the two days of the conference. Papers submitted by some overseas authors unable to attend were presented by stand-in speakers. Papers and authors are listed on the Papers page, which also has a link to photos of some Speakers.

Papers will shortly be available as Proceedings, in printed and CD-ROM formats
